
Logos from the Corporate World, Walmart “stars” and stripes from various Viennese grocery chains, were cut, combined, and fused to make a new flag proclaiming no national allegiance. Hand stitched text from the U.S. anthem asks: O, say can you see?

A collaboration with artist Diana Duncan Holmes of Cincinnati, Ohio. Inspired by the sky on her trip from my home in Durham back to Cincinnati, Diana photographed the changing cloud patterns. I responded with imagery from poetry, aviation symbols, and meteorological signs using collage and hand stitching.
